TLAG - Village Tea Company Distribution Inc. Announces Licensing Deal with Carmen Brown, Inc. NEW YORK, April 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Total Apparel Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets: TLAG, hereinafter the "Company" or "TAG") announced that, Village Tea Company Distribution, Inc. ("Village Tea"), the owner of the Village Tea Company brand of premium loose leaf teas and tea accessories has entered into a licensing agreement with Carmen Brown, Inc. ("Carmen Brown Rum Tea") to create the world's first Rum infused with premium loose leaf tea. Village Tea sources high-quality, unique teas with distinct flavor combinations and packages them in a variety of creative and earth-friendly ways. One of the brand's most popular flavors, Sweet Grace Vanilla Rooibos, has been selected by Carmen Brown Inc. as its key ingredient in its new flavor of infused Rums. The 70 proof molasses based rum, produced by a small batch distiller in Milwaukee WI, is blended with 100% all natural South African Rooibos (meaning Red Bush in Afrikaans) sweetened with real vanilla. The tea itself is 100% all natural, sourced from a root and is non-caffeinated. Carmen Brown Rum Tea with Vanilla Rooibos was introduced in January of 2013 at a private Super Bowl event at the Museum of Art, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The product is available for sale in the state of Texas, and is expanding to neighboring states, Louisiana and Arkansas. There are plans for a regional and national launch of the product in the very near future. Carmen Brown intends to add additional flavors which will also utilize additional Village Tea flavors that will complement the unique taste profile of the high quality, small batch Rum produced by Yahara Bay. "We chose the Sweet Grace Vanilla Rooibos and the Village Tea brand because they were the only blend that could perfectly match with our rum," Curtis Edwards, Founder and CEO of Carmen Brown Inc. stated. The flavors blended ideally with our in house process and the line of flavors we expected to launch for the balance of the year into 2014." "We're excited to have an opportunity to provide our tea as the flavor foundation for a new spirits company that is making a large entry into the market place," JanonCostley, CEO Village Tea Company Distribution Inc. mentioned. Our company has always believed that tea shouldn't be limited to the tea cup but used as a key ingredient to bring flavor to all sorts of cups in unexpected combinations." Rum is the 2nd most popular spirit in the United States, with annual sales of $2+billion, led by Bacardi and Captain Morgan, there has been little innovation in the rum category. The creators of Carmen Brown Rum Tea (http://carmenbrownrumtea.com/) feel that utilizing the flavor and taste expertise of the tea experts at the Village Tea brand it will become a catalyst in an increasingly popular, yet stagnant category, similar to how other small batch brands helped to grow the Vodka category.
