"The Signatera test is personalized and tumor-informed, providing each individual with a customized blood test tailored to fit the unique signature of clonal mutations found in that individual's tumor. This maximizes accuracy for detecting the presence or absence of residual disease in a blood sample, even at levels down to a single tumor molecule in a tube of blood. Unlike a standard liquid biopsy, Signatera is not intended to match patients with any particular therapy; rather, it is intended to detect and quantify how much cancer is left in the body, to detect recurrence earlier and to help optimize treatment decisions."
I wonder if Creatv MichroTech is still in the mix; working on potential biomarkers... The last sentence in the paragraph makes me think so.
I never heard of Natera before today... But apparently a lot of oncologists have. This is a quote from a press release back in 2023, when Merck began working with them:
“With Signatera being ordered now on a regular basis by over a third of all oncologists in the U.S., Natera is in a unique position to structure and share its real-world experience to inform drug discovery and clinical research,” said John Fesko, Natera’s president & chief business officer.”
So it's not only great science, but a large network of oncologists are familiar with Natera. Looks to me like Cytodyn is continuing to develop working relationships with the best and brightest in the oncology field. Lalezari may be an accidental CEO... but he is a brilliant CEO. Let Hoffman work out the financial engineering. Just in terms of the company he keeps, I'd say Dr J is handling the scientific, clinical, and FDA engineering very, very, very well. If the data set turns out close to what we believe it might, we are going need all these brilliant minds--and spotless data collection--to convince people the results are for real. Who's gonna believe No adverse events? No Evidence of Disease? No bloody faces?
Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, and the data... but six months from now, we should be the belle of the JPM ball... Standing ovations, anyone?
