Just a note about the I-SPY 2 TNBC trial. Not only is Leron the first-line treatment for these patients, but the more I read about it, the more impressive just being chosen for the I-SPY trial becomes. It is basically validation that Leron's rationale and early results are considered scientifically credible by a very sophisticated oncology network. An article on the NIH.gov site tells us that "I-SPY 2 provides us with an important research tool for fast-track evaluation of drug efficacy in relatively small patient subsets and may currently be regarded as the most promising pathway for optimising drug development in breast cancer." (
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5115814/ ) Essentially, "graduation" from I-SPY materially de-risks the drug.
I know Leron has to wait its turn -- Jay's famous "weeks to months" timespan -- but it can be a powerful impetus when it comes.
I also read that the fees are usually staged rather than balled into a single upfront payment, so I don't think we'll be burning that cash all that quickly, either.
