This is a great article, mighty. Not only is it a great feel-good story about leronlimab as a cancer therapeutic, but it tells the story of Cytodyn the company, on it's last legs... Quoting Dr Lalezari "We had only one more bite at the apple." It explains, without explaining away, the 13D takeover attempt and the FDA hold. It doesn't really focus on the science or explain the MOA very well... but that is not the point.
I've been looking for something like this for years--ever since I convinced my then girlfriend to buy 1,000 shares back in the day, for $5/share... (To be fair, I had told her about it earlier, when it was between $3-4/share). More recently, trying to tell anyone about the company, the FDA hold and Pourhassan's criminality dominate any search results and discredit the organization. This article addresses those issues, but keeps the focus on leronlimab and saving lives by combining leronlimab with a checkpoint inhibitor. It is the kind of press that I can unreservedly forward to friends and family... And I think it will be the first of many. Imagine this kind of piece in the New York Times or NPR or USAToday... Not to mention your local rag.

Take a look at the photographs... There are several family portraits with Wina Peterson (the patient), the first with her head shaved from chemo, surrounded by her husband Les and their two young kids. And then you see her with longer hair, and you see her kids growing up right before your eyes! Every woman with breast cancer--the mothers anyway--will see that and it will give them a lifeline and a path forward, so they can also see their kids grow up. Hope is a powerful drug, and those photographs provide it.
I'm a non-verbal nerd, a photographer, and I have to mention another image. And that is the portrait of Dr Lalezari, looking all disheveled and yet quietly confident. It is such a different portrait of a CEO, a real guy, with a few days growth, instead of the usual suit and tie and impeccable grooming. I noticed it was provided by Les and Wina, so I suspect it has very personal meaning for Lalezari. To me, he looks straight outta the San Francisco social milieu of the 1980s, where I grew up and later went to SF state. A little nostalgia there... My kinda people, my kinda town, even if it has been overwhelmed by the tech bros. Leronlimab should bring a focus back to the Bay Area and West Coast as a center of biotech and health-care innovation, an area that has historically been led by the Boston/New York/Texas/North Carolina axis. With more press like this piece, which was authored by Sarah Wolf from the Columbian but republished in The Post Record of Camas-Washougal... things are looking up . Great great great find, Mighty!
