"Median Survival by 5-FU Regimen
The following data reflects median overall survival (OS) typically observed for metastatic (Stage IV) disease.
FOLFOX (5-FU + Leucovorin + Oxaliplatin)
OS: Approximately 18–24 months.
With Bevacizumab: OS can reach 30–31.4 months.
FOLFIRI (5-FU + Leucovorin + Irinotecan)
OS: Approximately 14–17 months as first-line therapy.
With Bevacizumab: OS can reach approximately 30–31 months, showing comparable efficacy to FOLFOX-based combinations.
CAPOX (Capecitabine + Oxaliplatin)
OS: Approximately 18–21 months. CAPOX is considered non-inferior to FOLFOX in terms of efficacy and OS.
FOLFOXIRI / FOLFIRINOX (Triplet Therapy)
OS: Approximately 23–28 months.
Note: This intensive "triplet" regimen is generally reserved for patients who are exceptionally fit and can tolerate higher toxicity.
