yes that is absolutely true.
cytodyn has a moat in 2 holy grails, hot to cold for mss-crc and perhaps solid tumors in general, and also hiv functional cure. not quite cure. but holy grail nonetheless.
triple therapy is a functional cure. that is what i mean, rather than LATCH. LATCH is a different discussion and while potentially curative, it targets an exceedingly small population, perhaps as little as 200 annually or something like that.
LATCH requires a patient requiring stem cell (mainly blood cancers 75%, and a dozen or more other small populations in blood disorders, autoimmune etc making up 25%), being eligible for stem cell (certain fragile health makes you ineligible due to risks), choosing to pursue stem cell (you can die from complications much more so than other surgical stuff, its a MASSIVE lifestyle hit both b4 and after - out of work a long time, crazy home restrictions, etc), and also having hiv.
improvements in stem cell over time will make more patients eligible and interested in many ways, but for now LATCH remains very small in that respect.
stem cell is an EXTREMELY active area of R&D with many of the big pharmas pushing for those incremental gains they love so much.
