Quote:Leronlimab upregulates PD-L1 in 88% of patients.
This is called "Unmasking" or "Priming."
By inducing PD-L1, Leronlimab turns a "Cold" (invisible) Tumor into a "Hot" (actionable) Tumor that an Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor (ICI) can finally attack.
PD-L1 inhibitors don't attack a tumor or turn it hot, they strip away defenses so the immune system can attack a tumor. A hot tumor is one that has active M1 macrophages that can attack. PD-L1 can show that there is upregulation of M1 macrophages, but a direct count is better proof.
