They need a established medical device company (like Medtronic or 3M) to buy them out or license their technology.
A partner already has the crucial sales force, hospital contracts (Group Purchasing Organizations or GPOs), and the specialized regulatory teams needed to efficiently navigate U.S. hospital adoption and secure reimbursement.
Unless a major strategic partnership or acquisition materializes, they're toast, no company survives on grants and share dilution.
Sad with the great products, but they don't have the 10's of millions of dollars to do it.
