Excerpt: "...In summary, our study provides evidence of antigen-specific clonal expansion of brain CD8+ T cells even at the early stage of amyloid pathology and elucidates their dynamic functional transition during AD progression through interactions with other brain immune cells.
CD8+ T cells infiltrating the brain respond to the local environment, undergo clonal expansion, and express TCRs associated with amyloid pathology, promoting Aβ aggregation in an antigen-specific manner. This process involves effector CD8+ T cells modulating microglial reactivity via the CCL5-CCR5 signaling pathway. "

Whenever I see the word "modulate" in a science paper, in conjunction with the CCR5/CCL5 axis I am encouraged and refreshed by science. The word cytodyn doesn't appear anywhere in such texts but I definitely sense its presence.
