A Harvard-MIT-Stanford trained Physicist and Physician-Scientist, Dr. Anita Goel is a globally recognized leader in the emerging field of nanobiophysics—a new science at the convergence of physics, nanotechnology, and biomedicine. She founded Nanobiosym to integrate these fields to reveal new scientific solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
Her pioneering contributions to nanotechnology and nanobiophysics have been recognized globally by prestigious honors and awards including multiple awards from US Government agencies such as Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), FDA and Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS).
She established Nanobiosym® Diagnostics to commercialize our Digital Diagnostics portfolio, including the Gene-RADAR® technology platform, to empower people worldwide with portable, rapid and accurate information about their own health. Our IOT mobile devices and our digital diagnostics platform enable a fully demonstrated data workflow from data capture to advanced data analytics.
Dr. Goel was named as one of the world’s “Top 35 Science and Technology Innovators” by MIT Technology Review. She holds a PhD in Physics from Harvard University, an MD from the Harvard-MIT Joint Division of Health Sciences & Technology (HST), and a BS in Physics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University.
Dr. Goel created the Nanobiosym Global Initiative to bring emerging technologies into emerging economies by forming innovative public-private partnerships with governments, NGOs, industries, academia and global thought leaders across the world. She has a special interest in bringing disruptive technologies to impact emerging markets in both the developed and developing world.
