I would have liked to share some audio visual presentation experience fatter Hoffmann presented before and everybody complained about him staring at projector screen behind him. I’m sorry I didn’t earlier but thought it might not be relevant to the board.
There are several factors that may have required him to look at the screen behind him. In a proper A/V setting he would have had “Confidence Monitors” in front of his podium. Large enough flat screen monitors to reflect all revelant content, power point, time clocks, notes from managers etc. Each of these would require a separate screen, backstage operator, and computer infrastructure. No telling what AACR has in place. I know what I would have had. And I know what amount of rehearsal would be required. Hoffman likely, at a conference second stage, had none of these.
Likewise, when the web video feed failed that we had all signed up for, it wasn’t Cytodyn’s fault at all. The Company couldn’t have had any control of an outbound video feed to the internet. The folks in charge of of the outbound video feed would have failed in one of 3 or 4 ways to back up systems should the main one fail, secure proper internet strength from the venue, perhaps the conference organizers screwed up. The link that Cytodyn provided was provided by the conference. Since we presented on the last day, I would have expected these issues to have been solved.
Hoffman was a knowledgeable presenter who admitted aging eyesight. I wasn’t concerned about charisma. I immediately recognized a shortcoming in presenter support by the conference. The conference was amateurish.
