Universal City, CA – Fandango at Home, the premium video-on-demand streaming service owned by NBC Universal and Warner Brothers Discovery, will launch the Hannover House – Hemdale Film Corp. family title, “WILDFIRE: The Legend of the Cherokee Ghost Horse” commencing October 10 throughout the United States and Canada.
The movie, inspired by the #1 worldwide hit song by Michael Martin Murphey, marks the final screen performance for legendary star Anne Heche . Other stars in the film include Mo Brings Plenty (“Yellowstone”), Adrian Paul (“Highlander” series) and Chevel Shepherd, winner of NBC’s “The Voice” competition in her screen debut. The film was written and directed by Hannover House CEO, Eric Parkinson. Hannover House stock shares are traded on the OTC markets under the symbol HHSE.
“WILDFIRE” was launched to theatres in selected markets last weekend, and will expand to additional markets throughout October. The Hannover House release is being handled through the company’s recently re-launched Hemdale brand. The support campaign has been tailored to generate maximum impact and awareness during the Fandango streaming launch, in order to create the immediate access for consumers.
“Michael Martin Murphey’s song is iconic,” said Eric Parkinson. “We believe that the launch of the film to On Demand through Fandango at Home will deliver the largest possible audience to access and view the film. We will also be releasing the film months later via BluRay, DVD and other streaming services. But the campaign supporting the Fandango launch in October is what we feel will generate the greatest viewership, ” he concluded.
