Re: techisbest #4990

Thanks Tech for posting this. Finally we are getting some real information. John has always made it sound like they can run at the maximum rate. Obviously this is not the case, it depends on the plastic and how dense it is.

The question I still have is, when they say that they can run 140,000 lbs of before they have to stop and do a clean out, are they using HTF? I would assume not at this time since they are not permitted to do so.

So, if we are trying to figure out how much fuel they are making we could say roughly 15,000 gallons per week (worst case assuming no issues with feed stock or the processor) for processor #2. So, in a quarter with 13 weeks it would be 13 x 15,000 = 195,000 gallons. It sounds like anything they get out of processor #1 would be a bonus at this point so say maybe 25% of what processor #2 is doing at roughly 50,000 gallons and combined you end up with about 245,000 gallons. To me this seems like a more realistic estimate for Q2.

They said that they are working on making the plastic more dense before it goes into the processor so that would reduce the time of the run. I think that this is just something that they will continue to optimize while they are waiting for permits to allow them to run HTF.

Someone was saying that they think that Processor #3 will be running in 60 days. I think that is extremely optimistic given the pictures we saw in the presentation were probably taken the day before. It looks like there is still a ton of work to do. (but what do I know).

Also as far a the permitting, the applications are not even on the DEC website yet, I think permitting is going to take anywhere from 3 - 6 months and they are going to need 2 right? An Air and Solid waste permit?

In the end we now have a more realistic picture of what is going on. I think this is good. They are moving forward and will continue to optimize and improve the performance of the processors. As long as do that I will be happy and I think we will see the SP improve.
