I have read a little on SSAT and CCR5 interplay. So far, the scientists haven't figured out the relationship. If anything, SSAT might have more effect on CCR5 behavior via Treg cells. The best, sort of, explanation is found on Google AI:

"Potential connections and unanswered questions
T regulatory cells (Tregs): A recent study suggests that SSAT (encoded by the SAT1 gene) may impair Treg cell function in the context of chronic inflammation. Given that CCR5 is expressed on Tregs and plays a role in their trafficking and function, there could be an indirect link where SSAT's impact on Treg function, and thus inflammation, might influence CCR5-mediated processes in inflammation or immune responses.
Integrin and NF-κB interaction: SSAT has been shown to interact with other important proteins like the hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha-subunit, p65 subunit of NF-kappaB, and alpha9beta1-integrin, potentially altering their function. CCR5 also influences NFAT translocation and activation. Further research might explore if there are any indirect interactions or influences between the pathways mediated by these proteins and how they relate to SSAT's function or CCR5-mediated signaling.
In conclusion, while CCR5 and SSAT have distinct primary roles in the body, there's a potential for interplay in the complex environment of disease and immune regulation. However, further research is needed to fully understand any direct or indirect impact CCR5 might have on SSAT activity, and vice-versa."
