It's an insightful look at how these things can play out. I like to think Cytodyn was kicking around potential partnerships with one or two pharmas around the time of the Munich poster. Then, as things started to get very serious, a third player hit Cytodyn up in their DMs to create a bit of a bidding war. The extended silence, and what feels like the company dragging its feet, is really just that the company is taking the time necessary to assess the options, counter, and negotiate every last detail before one lucky pharma gets the rose.
Nobody really knows, of course. But without any peep from the company it's fun to imagine Cytodyn as the WNBA basketball court and big pharma offers as the dildos constantly being tossed from the stands. There's one. Wait! There's a second! Oh my lawd, another dildo has hit the court!
