Hosting for Large Platforms

I manage a forum that’s been rapidly growing, and we’re starting to notice performance issues due to our current VPS limitations. I’m thinking of moving to a dedicated server, but I’m not sure if choosing a server located in Brazil would be the right decision. Are Brazil-based dedicated servers reliable for large-scale platforms? What are the main advantages of choosing such a location?
