As I’ve bought more small chunks recently through my Merrill Lynch account, it is the only stock that I’ve had to verify my order with the telephone text approval. Today was a new level. They actually said they are not accepting online purchases of Verb. I called and asked why they said it was because of the high likelihood of price manipulation and volatility. They’re making all clients give verbal orders. Waving the fee, but I’m sure this extra step means that some people won’t buy it as readily. Interesting that on this day, the price drops significantly. It seems to me the brokerage accounts are the ones doing the manipulating!
