Marvin Harvin, is one of seven prisoners that pulled off something remarkable. They earned college degrees while still behind bars!
This happened through a special program called the Yale Prison Education Initiative.
They got associate degrees in general studies from the University of New Haven. Harvin said he could hardly believe it: “To be in prison and have a school like Yale teach you... it doesn’t feel real.”
Their story is a testament to how life-changing learning can be.
Even in tough places, education can give people hope and help them build a better future.
