Does anyone remember one of the largest stakeholders of CYDY - 50 million shares?! That would be David Welch, CEO of Infinera until last year, who still has his shares and continues to believe in Leronlimab.
He wrote this post on LinkedIn yesterday:
I have been engaged with CYDY for many years now and have always held the belief of a drug that has incredible potential through its mechanism as an immunomodulator. First my apologies as a physical scientist trying to talk in medical terms. Below is an incredible paper that was presented at ESMO Breast Cancer Annual Congress this week. What is described in this paper is the ability of Leronlimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to and inhibits CCR5, to influence the effectiveness of immuno-therapeutic treatments. The conclusion, as represented in figure 5 of this paper, on limited data and a small population, indicates that Leronlimab in conjunction with an ICI (immune checkpoint inhibitor) therapy has enabled patients that were classified as triple negative breast cancer patients (i.e. patients that were no longer responding to traditional therapies) to demonstrate prolonged survival. Of the 5 patients that were treated with the combination of Leronlimab and an ICI therapy, all 5 are alive after 4 years. I am extremely excited to see such compelling results! Many hopes for the future.
