Yes, pharmaceutical companies, particularly those producing weight-loss drugs like semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy), are increasingly using social media influencers and promoters to market their products. This trend has led to concerns about the potential for misleading or incomplete information being shared, as well as the impact on individuals who may not understand the risks and benefits of these medications.
Back story...
When Ozempic, Wegovy and other drugs were in short supply, companies were allowed to make compound versions and sell them (i.e. Hims/Hers, Good GirlRX and others.
But what happens when Pharma ramps up and they are no longer in short supply? The obvious answer is those compounders are no longer able to sell them unless they really tweak them.
But something happened that no one expected. Wish Rory would have just a little deeper into explaining his 3rd vertical and the opportunity, but maybe doesn't want to show the hand to the competition and there is competition.
Pharma are embracing the very companies that were there nemesis as a great way to reach consumers that the 6PM evening news commercial with the sped up side effects could never do. Big Pharma now gets telehealth.
Will one of them ink a deal with Good Girl RX? idk
VERB may want to fire up another sub called Bad Boy RX in the mean time.
Hims making a boat load of dudes with thinning hair, a bit heavy and in need of a Tonka crane in the BR.
Bad Boys, Bad Boys. Watch gonna do when they come for you?
Bad Boy RX. You heard it here first.
