I wanted to share something encouraging I came across about a drug called Leronlimab. It’s an experimental treatment that’s being studied in advanced triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most challenging types to treat.
Recently, researchers reported that a small group of patients with metastatic TNBC who had exhausted other options were treated with Leronlimab — and remarkably, a few of them have survived 3 years or more, with no sign of active disease. That’s highly unusual in this cancer.
The drug isn’t approved yet, and more studies are underway, but what’s exciting is that it seems to work by targeting the immune system in a new way — potentially stopping cancer spread and giving people more time.
