It must be tied to the Shorts......the best explanation I have heard is via Lasers....he has previously stated that there is likely Naked Shorting going on first and then the MM's borrow shares from say a Trellus or other Fund that owns large quantities of shares.....to cover.....and once they drive the PPS lower......the purchase and replace the shares they borrowed from Trellus........and wallah rinse and repeat over the entirety of this two year period.....think about that 40 million dollars worth of purchases a few months ago....nobody knows why, per se, or who it was......could be the shorts needing to replenish a fund of large shares they use to continue to short with and have an ample supply to cover with.

Would make sense.....I'm not saying that is what is going on....but it does make a lot of logical sense.
