As far as I understood it, the only macaque trials being stopped immediately were those related to marijuana? I think? And the animal rights advocates' request was for current studies to be finished and no new studies to be started...maybe things have changed since I last checked, but I was comforted by what I read. I don't love animal testing at all but I was glad to read they weren't saying to stop *all* trials midway...
