As a former audio visual tech for shows such as these, this gives me a bit of a boost to what a poster prezie entails. I can see from this video that a poster prezie will not be a hard-board, or steakhouse flip chart, but a professional digital audio visual presentation in a booth type setting with Dr Pestell.
I write this perhaps to alleviate my own concerns that Dr Pestell would be standing in a quiet corner with chalk and eraser. Instead I state with confidence that we will have a respectable footprint and a multi-dimensional audio visual presentation in a welcoming booth. We may not be a keynote speaker, our booth may not be a multi-story amphitheater, but we will have a prominent multi-dimensional presentation, and based on what we have to say, our footprint will be on a well travelled thoroughfare.
Let me just give a small relevant example. For years, I worked for my previous company at the big Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (CES), another big gaming show in LA at convention center. The big boys like XBox had a 200’ by 200’ booth in hall A, and the guys promoting a faster thumb drive like Cleveland Tech had a 10’ by 10’ booth in Hall D next to catering. We’ll be somewhere in between to be sure.
But it’s not going to be a poster board. We’ll be visited in an inviting booth on a primary/secondary route. Guaranteed.
