I actually don’t know exactly why, but it could be as simple as the difference between it being the raw ingredient rather then the final formulation that is suspended in additional elements to be drawn out at 350ml. Many prescription drugs have gone generic and then seemingly lost efficacy for patients because the filler ingredients and quality of the pill formulation (as an example) were different. Allegra comes to mind. I sold it as it went generic and then we started getting reports that people who ordered the one manufactured by Sanofi did fine while the patients getting the third party’s version were reporting it wasn’t working as well.
If you go to the about section of the company selling it, it’s all about supporting researchers for things like blood assay testing, for instance.
Maybe someone has a more clear explanation of how it differs exactly, but regardless it shouldn’t matter. They can’t sell it as a prescription drug.
