I've sorta resigned myself to never smelling anything again... But reprogramed stem cells? Had no idea. Wow... gotta look into that. Think it would work for anosmia?
That would be from nerve damage. Now that they can repair them with stem cells it's possible but may be a little trickier in the brain rather than the spinal column.

I know leronlimab has shown promise in stroke and TBIs. But its been two and a half years. Has the window of opportunity to provide some kind of therapeutic benefit come and gone? Ohm--any thoughts?
The mechanism of action hasn't changed so it hasn't come and gone. In fact they're going to be doing a pre-clinical study in stroke.

The only other lead I've come across is psychedelics! LSD and mushrooms. In an online journal as I recall, that looked at three case studies and worked out the theoretical basis. But I only had a look at the abstract as the paper was behind a paywall.
I could see psychedelics enhancing the perceived sense of smell (although not the actual sense of smell) but it would do nothing for destroyed neurons.
