I don't entirely agree. Like Niele, I think any offer is tempered by two other figures: how low an offer the company being bought will accept, and how high an offer the buying company's shareholders will accept.
If they can get a company for MUCH less than they think they'll make, that will be the offer.
The sp of the company being bought DOES matter, or else you would have seen companies being bought by big multiples of the target companies' market caps. You just don't.
Someone on the board calculated what, $91 billion as a valuation for CYDY? Sure. Leron is worth more than that. That's why we need the SP to get boosted sharply before we sell: so we can get an offer that at least dimly reflects Leron's worth. And it is why people selling whenever we go up a few cents hurts our long-term target.
