In November, 1999, Aquatic Cellulose began its first large scale operation at the Tucurui reservoir in the Amazon region of Northern Brazil. Valued over $US 600,000,000, this multi-phase project is scheduled for completion in 2019. The company also recently announced future projects in the Amazon river , a project worth untold billions, as well as in New Zealand .
