GSK recently announced a 400% increase in year-v-year quarterly profit, so it's not an obvious short. There are a few possible reasons, though. Since the announcement of the buyback, the sp increased 11%; maybe Citadel thinks this is overdoing it. There's been concern with the Debtors Turnover Ratio, which could indicate cash flow issues, but if they're buying back shares, I wouldn't be worried about it.

But here's one I would be worried about. Gsk proclaims on their site:
"Today we deliver approximately 1.5 million vaccine doses daily, and 4 out of 10 infants born each year receive at least one GSK vaccine." Maybe Ken Griffin thinks the administration is going to abandon governmental support of vaccines, what with their whackjob head of HHS.

On the other hand, here's one we might like, from Perplexity: "There may be doubts about GSK's pipeline of new medicines and vaccines. The company needs to replace its HIV drugs when they face a patent cliff later in the decade. Citadel may believe that GSK's current pipeline is insufficient to offset future revenue losses."

A patent cliff for HIV drugs later in the decade, eh? I have an idea. A way GSK can squeeze the life out of that Big Short...
