The company should report only facts, like they have been doing recently. Facts like study results, new hires or fires, discrete plans, financial status or required bureaucratic reports needed by the different authorities.
They should not go down any rabbit holes denying or affirming possible misinformation depending on the CEO's judgement of how that data may affect the company. Generally the less said the better.
