crazy that caplyta could bring in that much money $1bil a year.... thats a lot of people with schizophrenia and depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder. our country is painfully ill to say the least. wonder what the annual cost is for the drug per person and how the insurance cos are handling approvals and denials in the wake of the unitedhealth group wave of denials getting "talked about". i was going to say "exposed" but we all already know how much insurance denial is going on these days, its a total toss up when we go to the hospital if we get insurance coverage. its no secret.
friend went to the hospital and got diagnosed with MS and owes $180,000 due to insurance denials from top tiered company for very straight ahead common procedures that they willy nilly denied with out cause.... what a joke. so i have to wonder how the drug companies like cytodyn factor in the demand and need for their products, with the 40% denial rate preventing them from selling product? this has to be a major chapter in the accounting, and it seems to be a huge wildcard. the insurance companies literally do nothing but skim off the top . bigly.
