I recently (November) recovered from covid 19 only to come down with a disabling full body pain experience with no roots in a physical injury. I am still undergoing physical therapy. On a track parallel to this experience, I have been following the development of an experimental drug which claims as its mechanism of action, MoA, the blockade of a human cell receptor, (CCR5) which figures prominently in medical research concerning the amorphous medical phenomenon known as 'cytokine storm'. The number of cytokine storm pain related symptoms are varied and numerous beyond our imagination and current medical knowledge. Which nonetheless means, they are available everywhere in all varieties of presenting patients.
While, Jennifer Khan, here cites the profound medical issue where medical science, as of this date, is unable to measure or perceive generalized pain for purposes of establishing a source or treatment for such pain I pose that the simple measure of a patient's cytokine count is readily and easily available for such purposes. Perhaps an upfront patient cytokine count (measure) could or should be the starting point in an actual physical diagnosis and treatment of all generalized pain patients thus or perhaps eliminating mental or emotional issue manifestations. Step one: Cytokine count analysis.
