Excellent but the hillbilly unfortunately didn’t

I only wanted a little attention.
“Would they care for my backwoods views?
Could a hillbilly’s wisdom, rough and plain,
Find a place amidst their gain?”
Beneath the pines, where the crickets hum,
Lives a hillbilly far from the city’s drum.
With a jug of moonshine and a fishing line,
He dreams of wealth but says, “It’s fine.”
Investor Hangout, a buzzing hive,
Stocks and gains, they keep alive.
But our hillbilly, with no shares to boast,
Finds his treasures in a river’s ghost.
“Let ‘em talk of markets, of bulls and bears,
I’ll stay right here, breathing mountain air.
No need for charts, no chasing the green,
I’ve got all I need in this earthly scene.”
His cabin’s small, his riches untold,
In the laughter of stars and the sunrise gold.
While traders fret over a market dip,
He sips his brew, a simple quip:
“Y’all can have your Wall Street grind,
I’ve got peace of heart and ease of mind.
A fortune’s not in a stock exchange;
It’s in the life we live, though it seems strange.”
So here he stays, a soul serene,
Not envying profits or the money machine.
For in the quiet, where the wild winds blow,
True wealth is found in the life we sow.
