Please Google "Right To Try" and read up on the explanations and requirements to participate. Then put yourself in their shoes to try and answer the required questions for them. I don't know if a moderate case of Alzheimer's Dementia would be considered because of the various drug trials and medicines already out there for use targeting AZ Dementia. If that patient could not avail him/herself of a trial or medicines for whatever reason then perhaps he/she might qualify. However right to try is aimed at people with a deadly disease without any treatment or trials that they can use to try to prolong their life.
Right to Try requires that your requesting physician needs to be a strong advocate for the patient plus it requires extra time....but if you're dying it is worth it!
