Tri Cascade, an IoT telecom service provider headquartered in Irvine, California, with advanced manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, has announced the selection of the Quectel RM520N-GL 5G module and YEMR517J1A 5G full-band external antenna for its latest TRITOM GX500G IoT 5G Modem.
Key Features of TRITOM GX500G
Quectel RM520N-GL Module: Offers plug-and-play functionality, global service readiness, and certifications with T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. The module delivers standalone data rates of 2.4Gbps downlink and 900Mbps uplink, supporting both NSA and SA 5G modes.
YEMR517J1A 5G External Antenna: Ensures robust, secure connectivity with Fakra connectors and positioning designed for outdoor installation, enhancing 5G signal performance.
Enhanced Connectivity: Features two Ethernet ports and industrial RS232/RS485 terminals, designed to bring 5G connectivity indoors via Ethernet wall jacks.
Tri-Band Antenna: Eight antennas support both 5G and Wi-Fi 7, eliminating performance conflicts common in customer premise equipment (CPE).
Streamlined Development and Deployment
According to Max Li, CEO of Tri Cascade:
"Using pre-approved and certified Quectel modules significantly expedited our product’s time-to-market, allowing us to focus on product innovation rather than telecom certification hurdles."
The GX500G modem is already certified with T-Mobile and AT&T, with Verizon certification underway.
The modem supports a variety of use cases, including AI-driven construction management systems, benefiting from the low latency and high reliability of 5G technology.
Applications and Market Benefits
The GX500G is designed for both residential and industrial applications:
Residential: Positioned outside buildings to provide strong 5G performance to every room through Ethernet connections, ensuring superior internet coverage compared to traditional CPE routers.
Industrial: Optimized for low-latency AI applications, making it ideal for sectors such as construction and transportation.
