Both chemotherapy and steroids are immunosuppressive and pneumonia is not unexpected. They both can also lead to blood clots. Steroids are probably being used to reduce inflammation and the accompanying swelling and pain caused by chemotherapy. Leronlimab can do the same without the side effects so it would probably be better if only leronlimab was used with the chemotherapy. It's unlikely the doctors will do so because they'll go with the treatment they're used too.
