today announced the opening of the second patient certification center within
the state of Michigan in downtown Detroit by end of this week. The company has
acquired through a long term lease agreement approximately 3,000 square feet of
a former chiropractic clinic within the Blaine Hospital Building at 2151 East
Jefferson Avenue. The property includes access to a full pharmacy and emergency
care facility on the premises. The first patient certification center located
within Washtenaw county in Ann Arbor is presently open and will be taking
patients as of this week. The first of two patient and wellness centers operated
by MediSwipe are now branded as "The Certification Station," with plans for
additional locations in Massachusetts following the recent passage and
guidelines for medicinal marijuana legislation and San Diego, California.
The Certification Stations will be a full service facility, allowing patients to
receive guidance in filing required documents to the state in applying for state
medical marijuana ID cards, receive consultations through on location doctors
and physicians for state certification as well as providing digitization and
management of medical records within the MediSwipe system on behalf of
registered caregivers. The Certification Stations will also allow for a central
point for the 27,000 caregivers within the state to register within the
MediSwipe data management system, for maintenance and data management of the
patient count of each caregiver. Doctor consults and education will also be
provided through the Company's telehealth platform and a HIPAA compliant secure
messaging application for both doctors and patients of the Certification
Stations is now available and free to patients as a download on iTunes and
Android stores by searching "MIsecuremessages."
The MediSwipe Certification Station will provide qualified patients with
physician certifications for the use of medical marijuana. This certification is
required in order to obtain a valid a medical marijuana ID card from the State
of Michigan. Fully licensed doctors will conduct their legal and ethical duties
in full compliance with Michigan Medical Marijuana Certification guidelines.
A physician must state in writing that the patient has a debilitating medical
condition that qualifies them for medical marijuana treatment. A state issued
card allows patients to use marijuana treatment legally in the State of
Michigan.
