There are those that naked short stocks that don't really know much, and don't care about the companies they are shorting. When most of the companies they short don't have but one product, and is in a similar market with numerous other competitors, it makes it fairly easy for them to make money. It is very hard for a new company to compete with other established successful companies in the same market.

Why did most of us initially invest in VERB? We could see the potential for a very successful company, entering a market where there were no real competitors to worry about because of the unique products that VERB had to offer. Because of this, they must take every measure they can to keep the SP in check, hoping VERB will eventually fail.

Those that have severely shorted (and continue to short) VERB would not want to see VERB succeed, as those shorters could incur a great loss if it did. I believe they have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar and are trying to find a way out before it is too late.

I believe Rory is fully aware of the illegal tricks the naked shorters are using and has implemented the proper steps to have the evidence to present to the SEC. Government agencies are slow, very slow, but that doesn't mean they don't do anything. Enacting the last RS, VERB would know the maximum number of round up shares that could exist (worst case scenario), yet there were far more than what is possible. Big red flag. Naked shorts would need to be accounted for after the RS. If those that naked shorted VERB couldn't get enough shares to cover, they would have to scavenge for them in any way they could. They could try to create a higher SP to try to convince some to sell their shares for a profit, which has already been done. They can refuse to sell new shares of VERB, which would only allow selling of shares, which they are currently doing. They could try to create a lower SP for several days in a row to discourage some into selling their shares to minimize their loss, which I believe is currently happening.

Their fear may be that they can only do so much before they get caught and are forced to stop. This would allow the SP to bounce back up to near the value it should be, which is way too high for the naked shorters to cover.
