I think what you're feeling from ER and possibly others is the confusion of not catching any of the many gentle suggestions from actual, recognized, career writers about tidying up your billion word posts so they're more palatable. As well as the many gentle nudges from those who have made a career in biotech or the sciences to correct some glaring assumptions you continue to spin and turn and build into fanciful outcomes that aren't realistic. But nobody gets through. It happens over and over, and I think what's happening here is you're confused that you continue to get any sort of pushback because you've decided you're CYDY's pied piper?
By all means, keep doing what you're doing and never take any advice from anyone. Seriously. You can do that all you want. You're currently doing it. Honestly, it's all good. Just don't be surprised when some people aren't on board with it. Especially the ones who have tried to point out glaring issues in a post only to get a reply that basically says "well I still think I'm right".
You're running on a feedback loop fueled by confirmation bias.
And while that fuel burns, you continue to be a part of a select few who clog the boards under what appears to be the assumption that more words equals more clout. Or more intelligence, maybe? I don't know for sure.
But what I do know is that taking some criticism every once in a while, and adjusting your position based on that, isn't a weakness. It's a sign of intelligence. There are people to be learned from on this board. People who have worked in pharma/bio their entire careers in the HIV space or oncology. People who make their living improving the writing of others. People who have won countless awards writing documentaries and bump erasers with the best in the biz. Doctors, Degenerates, Dipshits. And on an on. Lots of people to learn from if you're willing to admit you might be wrong on occasion. Hell, I've been wrong plenty. Learned from my mistakes and got better for it. And I'll continue to be wrong at times, I'm sure. That's life.
