List of American Companies in China
https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/list-of-america...-in-china/

Some American companies having a large customer base in China are Apple, General Motors, Nike, Walmart, Microsoft, KFC, Starbucks, Adidas, and Coca-Cola. The list is long and the question is why the Chinese market is an attraction for American Companies to expand their business. The reason could be the huge population of China which was 667 million back in the 1960s and doubled in 2010 and now it is 1.4 billion.

The growth of the population was in such a way that an increase in middle-class people was seen. This huge increase was seen as An increase in consumers for the goods and skilled labourers for the American Companies to be set up. One of the reasons could be the policies of the Chinese government to attract such companies.

Quote:
U.S. Brands Manufacturing in China:
General Motors (GM): Through joint ventures with SAIC and Wuling; models like Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac.
Ford:

In partnership with Changan and SAIC, producing vehicles like Ford Escape, Explorer, and electric cars.

Tesla: With its own Gigafactory Shanghai, producing Model 3 and Model Y.

Stellantis: Through joint ventures with GAC and Dongfeng, producing vehicles like Jeep and Chrysler.
Lincoln: Joint venture with Changan Automobile, manufacturing luxury models like Lincoln Nautilus.

Rivian: Plans for production in China, especially targeting the Chinese EV market.
In summary, U.S. automakers have a significant manufacturing presence in

China, primarily through joint ventures, as well as some wholly owned facilities like Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory. This is part of their strategy to access the rapidly growing Chinese market and to meet global production and EV demands.
