Somebody should tell Ford, Toyota, GM, Chevy, Kia, Honda. etc etc etc that they don't meet the Federal Trade Commission, “Made in USA” standard.

Although it remains an American car brand, many parts are not exclusively manufactured in the country. The automaker also produces and markets vehicles overseas. Some plants manufacture Ford parts in countries like Mexico, Canada, and China.
Do you consider computers in cars significant?
Quote:
Most computer chips for cars are made in Taiwan and China, as the United States does not manufacture more sophisticated chips domestically. The United States is a leader in chip design, but most US chip companies contract out to foreign foundries

American car companies are American only in name. Ford and GM use 70% imported parts.
