That said, let me add a few more cents to this conversation for what it's worth, and then I’ll move on to the many other important topics about CYDY on this board.
1. Shares Available. Those 450,000 shares you mention are probably the pool available at IB. There are other pools available at Etrade, Ameritrade, Schwaab etc.. Brokers don't tap into a single shared inventory of stocks to borrow. Borrowable shares can be located from a variety of sources and different brokers have access to different pools of inventory. So there may be many larger pools available.
2. Short Interest versus % Volume Shorted Each Day. According to shortsqueeze.com, as of two weeks ago there were 13,133,500 total shares shorted. I’ve seen it as high as 42,000,000 shares, though I don’t check much and it could have been higher before. Overall that 13,133,500 is a low percentage of total float. Rather than total short interest or % of float, I’m more interested in what percent of the CYDY stock volume is being shorted each day to meet the buying demand and keep the price low—to the extent that that is actually happening. I’m trying to figure out just how much the stock is actually being manipulated (or if not).
3. Price Action, Ranges, and Charts. I’ve charted and read candlesticks for years, and also have followed price action, trends, and ranges, so I know a bit about this. What I can tell you is that the price on this stock does not appear to be behaving normally. The price is severely range bound on specific trading days with a few exceptions when it escapes the range. It appears that the price is being bottled or manipulated. The things that others have suggested does account for some of this but not all of it in my opinion. Before you think that I’m a conspiracy theorist, just know that I’m not particularly prone to that. On the other hand, most would admit that there have been stocks that have been manipulated (like Overstock, Gamestop, and others, etc). If you agree that it has happened before, then you’d also have to agree that it is a possibility here. I’m not sure that it is happening here, but I am just saying that the stock of our favorite company appears to be behaving like a manipulated stock from a price, range, and charting aspect.
With the stock price so low, and only 2 million shares (out of a total float of over a billion) it wouldn’t take much for a hedge fund to do that if it wanted to on behalf of a client. At any rate, good news, data, licensing, approvals, etc would solve that, if that is going on. If anyone has further information on this, I’m all ears lol.
