No big surprise. Many people are willing to commit fraud in the name of money or power. That it reaches into government agencies like the NIH and FDA is obvious. When Cytodyn brings overwhelming proof of efficacy in trials the scientific results will win out.
I've read many research papers that are contradictory to each other and then had to read much more to see where the scientific consensus lay but sometimes you can't even rely on consensus. For decades the amyloid beta/tau plaque build up in Alzheimer's has been touted as the cause of Alzheimer's. After reading many hundreds of papers I realized the core problem was immune dysregulation and the accompanying inflammation. Scientists now are realizing the driving cause of many diseases is the exact same thing.
Current drugs try to change individual factors such as PD-1, GLUT-1, VEG-F etc. Leronlimab attacks the root cause of immune dysregulation affecting all of those individual factors, When leronlimab shows the diversity of diseases it can treat it should bring a new understanding of treatment options.
