FARTLEK..Swedish/Nordic I think,...the word means to condition ones self to short runs ...and long runs...similar to exercising before you lift weights ...
so you don't have a problem with moving your arms later...i.e. IF you go directly to lifting fifty pounds... on each arm for an extended period..say 10 reps X 3...
I will guarantee...the next day.... you will not only be able to move...Butt,...when you try...the pain will be excrutiating..."feeling the burn"...its called lactic acid.
The shorts are about to feel the "Burn"...without the benefit of bigger arms....instead,...just a smaller bank account.
