So my request is to explain the effects on T3 and T4 by Resmetirom and Leronlimab. If it’s not too much of a burden. And how these effects might affect MASH results or have implications therein.
T3 and T4 help regulate mitochondrial efficiency, fat to energy conversion and LDL and HDL cholesterol balances. MASH is driven by liver fat accumulation and the accompanying inflammation caused fibrosis. Inflammation in return lowers T3 and T4 levels further. With lower T3 and T4 levels fat metabolism slows and fat will accumulate in the liver instead of being burned off as energy.
Resmetirom activates THR-b upregulating T3 and T4. Leronlimab downregulates inflammatory factors that decrease activation of THR-b, T3 and T4.

Some diseases associated would be hypotgyroidism, Hashimotos syndrome.
Hypotgyroidism is low activity from the thyroid with lower levels of T3. Both Resmetirom and leronlimab could help reverse this. I would think that in some cases hypotgyroidism may be caused by chronic inflammation. Hashimotos syndrome is an autoimmune disease so of course leronlimab would be helpful on the autoimmunity and increased T3 levels also improve outcomes.
