A new twitter team? Have you seen what has been tweeted over the last month?
Further, even with a really good Twitter SEO team 1) it is very expensive and more importantly 2) drawing traffic to a site that is closed /requires approval for entry could discourage entry traffic. Would attracted traffic go through the next step to gain entrance? Gaining attention is tough - gaining interest is doubly tough. Tall order. Are they/have they changed their twitter entrance protocol?
My opinions.
