Does any GOOD protein (or non-protein molecule) ordinarily attach to the CCR5 receptor? Is CCR5 the Kardashian of receptor points, does it attract nothing good?
All the ligands that bind to CCR5 are necessary to a proper immune response so they're good. It's only when the immune system goes over-reactive, attacks the wrong cells or is hijacked by viruses or tumor cells that things go bad. But then it's leronlimab to the rescue. Unfortunately leronlimab will not bind to Kardashians.
