Lag3 (via VEGF downreg) [-]
Leronlimab does what favezelimab and pembrolizumab (Keytruda) both do. Why leronlimab does what so many other effective drugs do is rather simple. What exacerbates disease states is immune dysfunction, autoimmunity and inflammation. So drugs that have effect address single proteins that cause the problem, like Lag3 and PD-1/PD-L1. But CCR is one of the main receptors responsible for elevating or downregulating a myriad of those proteins in the first place. Block CCR5 and you regulate possibly hundreds of those problem proteins.
