Question for Ohm or anyone who may specialize in Thyrotoxicosis. A dear loved one has just been diagnosed with this. We will be getting further assessment of the thyroid on Monday (next week). The going concern now is to look out for the potential thyrotoxic crisis or storm which can cause stroke, heart attacks, and even death. It looks like the symptoms have been progressively getting worse to the point that the doctors finally decided to do the one blood test that provided the undisputable proof of the condition.

My question is: Based on the current understanding of Leronlimab's MOA, would Leronlimab be beneficial in preventing the eventual thyrotoxic crisis or storm? Could Leronlimab be a temporary treatment that places the patient in a stabile condition while the test are run to determine what is actually causing the thyroid to be overactive?

There appears to be significant inflammation involved with this diagnosis and there also appears to be a link to an autoimmune response by the body. I am seeing the inflammation, autoimmune symptoms, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, etc...
