Some of mine:
1. Yes, stick with just 2 doses, but now also evaluate the patients at 42 days. *Me--How the heck is that going to help? Well, I guess they know what they're doing*
2. My wife: Why didn't we sell when it bounced back to $7 after crashing down from a few minutes at $10? *Me--Agree. I'd be retired, although it would be without a beach house or yacht*
3. Compassionate use for this wheelchair-throwing (future Olympic event after LL takes over the world?) glioblastoma patient: *The over-reaction takes me back to cringe-listening to a mechanical engineering PhD telling Christine about the patient "self-extubating" and walking out of the hospital. 'Self-extubation' is not a term anyone uses. Patients on ventilators, whether confused or not, will often try to pull their ET (endotracheal) tube out. Prevent this by placing positioning assistance devices (formerly called restraints, formerly called straightjackets) securing the wrists to the bed siderails and thus limiting arm motion.* <Hey doc, Mr. Jones in bed 6 pulled out his tube. Want some help putting it back in? No, let's wait a bit and see how he does without it. He was doing a little better already.>
4. Access for the dentist-- Cheering hard for him. As noted, hard to know if we can help at this point in his journey--Hope so!! Glad he's getting it. How'd he get it? That will be interesting to learn. *Me--early during the clinical hold, I emailed Dr. Kelly and Dr. Jay (he was on the Quest side then) about getting LL for a family member with a horrible diagnosis. Both replied promptly with a gentle no-way-to-get-it answer. I expected SK to respond to me as a shareholder, which he did. I didn't think Dr. Jay needed to, but he did, and I will remember that as a sign of integrity. With Ohm's List being so long, we all know people who could benefit from LL*
5. Try to control your Hopium and emotional ties about this molecule. We all cheer for each other and need to support each other on this board, but no one outside of this board will understand why you've invested or over-invested so much. Can't read too much into one patient, and results won't mean squat to the effDA. *FDA--Yeah, well, perhaps nobody told you guys he was a two-time Division 1 champ in the wheelchair throw at Olde State University*
